We need our students - and Prepare them for the future

Every summer we train undergraduate science students to become excellent science communicators and to serve as Astronomy and Nature Education Guides in our programs. Through Mountains of Stars programs they:

  • show people the wonders of the universe through telescopes

  • present planetarium shows

  • create model solar systems, build mini planetariums, and conduct other hands-on activities with youth and adults

  • lead astronomy-themed games

  • give presentations and hold workshops for audiences of all ages

  • deliver important messaging about the environment and our place on Earth
